Text messages from businesses using SoloOp

Local service businesses use SoloOp to run their bookings and invoices. Some of them text their clients through SoloOp. This page explains how those texts work and how your number is handled. Each business also has its own texting page; the link is in its texts or available from the business.

Who texts you

Privacy

What is collected.

Your name, mobile number and service address, which you gave the business when you booked work, and the texts you send back.

How it is used.

Only to provide and bill for the service you booked: reminders, arrival notices, invoices, receipts, replies to your questions, and, if you agreed to it, an occasional review request.

Mobile information is not shared.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text-messaging opt-in with anyone for their marketing. Your number is shared only with the companies that deliver the texts and run the scheduling software (SoloOp and its text provider, Twilio), and only to send the business's messages to you.

Keeping it.

Contact details are kept while you are a client of the business and for the records the law requires afterwards. A record of your consent and of any opt-out is kept so it can be honoured.

Your choices.

Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Reply HELP for help. To see, correct or delete your details, contact the business, or email support@solo-op.com.

The rest of SoloOp's privacy policy also applies.

Terms

What you'll get.

Texts about the service you booked: appointment reminders, "on my way" notices, invoices with a payment link, receipts and replies to your messages, and a review request only if you agreed to it. How often depends on your bookings; usually a few texts a month.

Consent first.

A business texts you only after you have agreed to texts about your service, usually when you give it your mobile number while booking. No text is sent before that.

No marketing.

No advertising or promotional texts are sent through SoloOp.

Quiet hours.

Texts are not sent late at night or early in the morning. A text that would arrive outside 8 am to 9 pm where you are (or the shorter hours some states set) waits until the morning.

Stop at any time.

Reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or just say stop) to stop all texts. You'll get one message confirming it, then no more. Reply START to receive texts again. On the shared Australian number, STOP stops texts from every business that uses it.

Help.

Reply HELP, contact the business, or email support@solo-op.com.

Cost.

Businesses do not charge you for texts. Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
